Archival Holdings

The archival holdings of the Archives are made up of the 847 fonds and collections. Most documents date back to 1918. These documents witness the creation, existence and demise of the Yugoslav states and therefore represent an indispensable source for scientific and other types of research of both the political, social, economic and cultural life and modern history in general.

Most of the archival holdings which the Archives took over from their creators or keepers, is at the building in 33 Vase Pelagića Street and a small part in 2 Mihajla Pupina Street.

Archival holdings are used only at the Reading Room of the Archives, in accordance with the applicable Rules Click here to dounload .pdf file, (110 kB).

The Archives has not taken over all the holdings in its competence. The reason for this is a constant need for using the holdings that exist in the possession of some creators or holders as well as a lack of storage room at the Archives.
