Dimitrie Radu, Director of the Diplomatic Archives of Romania visited the Archives of Yugoslavia.
July 9
A meeting was held at the Archives of Yugoslavia with Dr. A. Westad, Professor at the Department of History of the London School of Economic and Political Studies (LSE). In addition to the representatives of the Archives of Yugoslavia and Professor Svetozar Rajak accompanying Professor Westad, the meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Documentation Service (INDOK) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of FRY and of the Institute of Military History of the Federal Ministry of Interior. The meeting discussed the place and role of the state archives; the structure of the archival service in certain European countries and beyond; the experience concerning the norms of declassification of documents of particular specialized archives; and the issue of implementation of the Agreement on Succession to the State Archives of SFRY.

A two-member delegation of the Archives of Yugoslavia took part in the expert seminar in London, arranged by the LSE, at the State Archives of the United Kingdom
November 12-16
During the 36th International conference of the round table of the Archives of MAS in Marseilles in November 2002 the already agreed text of the Agreement on Archival Cooperation was signed between the Archives of Yugoslavia and Bundesarchiv. Also, in a direct contact with the Ukrainian party, the Archives of Yugoslavia and the State Committee of the Archives of Ukraine collated and agreed on the text of the Archival Cooperation Agreement and scheduled its signature for 2003.

A representative of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum paid a working visit to the Archives of Yugoslavia.

A three-member delegation of the Archives of Yugoslavia took part in the 36th International Conference of the Round Table of MAS devoted to the theme "How the society looks upon and accepts the archives?"

A representative of the Archives took part in the 8th International conference of the Central and East European Archives from the series "Colloquy devoted to Jiri Skovronek" with a paper "Selection of archival records for digitalization –possibilities of employing the method of multiple-criteria decision-making".

Two-member delegation of the Archives of Yugoslavia took part in the seminar "International standards ISO 15489 and office management".
