The Archives of Yugoslavia prepared the exhibition of documents Belgrade-Tehran 80 Years of Diplomatic Relations on the occasion of marking 80 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations of two countries. The exhibition is the result of cooperation of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade and Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia being one of the manifestations marking this jubilee. The Director of the Archives of the Republic of Yugoslavia, Dr. Milan Terzić greeted the guests, representatives of Diplomatic Corps in the Republic of Serbia, representatives of the scientific and cultural institutions at the opening ceremony on November 24, 2017. After those greeting words of the Director of the Archives, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Tehran H. E. Mr. Hossein Molla Abdulahi addressed the present. Mrs. Tamara Rastovac-Sijamašvili, Deputy of the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and personal envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia also addressed the audience. Dušan Jončić and Dragoš Petrović, MA prepared the exhibition that contains 200 documents and photographs and is accompanied with the catalogue in three languages, Serbian - Iranian - English. Exhibited documents present the beginning and the development of diplomatic relations, establishment of diplomatic missions – legations, lifting them to the level of embassies, diplomats representing both countries in Belgrade and Tehran. Visits and talks of the high officials of both countries: chief of the states, prime ministers, ministers of foreign affairs, other ministers, presidents of the parliaments contribution to improvement and development of the relations (diplomatic, political, economic, cultural, trade and the other) between two countries. Documents and photographs presented at the exhibition are preserved in the fonds and collections of the Archives of Yugoslavia, Center for Education and International Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Museum of Yugoslavia.
The exhibition will be opened till December 5, 2017 every working day (Monday-Friday) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
