Solemnly marked 74 years of the Archives of Yugoslavia

In the presence of numerous guests, members of the diplomatic core, and representatives of the Republic of Serbia's Ministries of Culture, Foreign Affairs, and Defence, the exhibition "74 Years of the Archives of Yugoslavia" was solemnly opened on Friday, February 19, 2024, at 1 p.m., marking 74 years since the establishment of the Archives of Yugoslavia (January 21, 1950).

The director of the Archives of Yugoslavia, Dr. Milan Terzić, spoke at the opening of the exhibition and pointed out the significance of the Archives of Yugoslavia and its archival materials.

Exhibition 74 years of the Archives of Yugoslavia brought materials from the history and activity of the Archives of Yugoslavia from its establishment until now. Exhibition is divided into twelve parts: history, building of the archive, takeover and storage, organisation and processing of the archival material, reading room, library, laboratory for conservation and restoration, publishing activities, exhibition activities, cooperation, digitalization, and development of the information systems.

The exhibition is open to the public until February 9th, every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
