Launching of the “Read to me” service resulted from the aspiration to make the Archives of Yugoslavia website accessible to a larger number of visitors. Although aimed primarily at the visually impaired, it is our hope that persons who find reading the texts on a computer screen tiring, or who dislike such presentation of information, would also find satisfaction in using this service.
About 12 hours of audio information on the Archives, archival documents, publications, exhibitions and cooperation with similar institutions in the country and abroad, are currently available.
Now also rendered in audio version is the journal Archives published by the Archives of Yugoslavia, containing papers on archivistics, historiography, information on work and events in the Archives of Yugoslavia, as well as presentations of archival documents and reviews of new publications on historiography and archival sciences. The audio version is now available for 214 papers and 59 reviews of national and foreign publications, totalling more than 90 hours of audio recordings.
