On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM, the exhibition of the Archives of Yugoslavia titled "From Antwerp to Seoul: Participation of Serbian Olympians (Yugoslavia) in the Summer Olympic Games (1920–1988)" was officially opened, authored by Dragan Teodosić and Marko Radovanović. The Mayor of Zrenjanin, Mr. Simo Salapura, spoke at the exhibition, highlighting the fact that it has come to the right place in a city that produced Ferenc Kemény, who, along with Pierre de Coubertin, participated in the founding of modern Olympic sports. Since 1956, Zrenjanin has continuously had representatives at the Olympic Games, winning twenty-five medals. One of the exhibition's authors, Dragan Teodosić, pointed out the sources used to create the exhibition, primarily materials from the Yugoslav Olympic Committee Archives (AJ, 832) and the Tanjug Photo Archive (AJ, 112f), from which numerous photographs were obtained. The exhibition was opened by the Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia, Dr. Milan Terzić, who emphasized the significance of the Archives of Yugoslavia.
Numerous guests from the sports sector attended the exhibition opening, as well as the Director of the Historical Archive of Zrenjanin, Mirjana Basta, with her associates.
The exhibition will be open at the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Archive of Zrenjanin (Slavka Županskog 5) until October 15, on weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM.
