As part of his official visit to the Republic of Serbia, where he stayed from November 4 to November 9, 2024, on November 5, 2024, His Excellency Mr. Abdelwahab Abdelrazek, President of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt, visited the Archives of Yugoslavia. He was accompanied by a large delegation, including, among others, His Excellency Mr. Bassel Salah, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Mahmoud Ismail Etman, Secretary-General of the Senate; Mr. Husein Khodeir, Senator, President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Chairman of the Health Committee; Mrs. Soha Saeid, Senator, Member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Culture Committee; Mr. Nageh Galal, Senator, Member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Education Committee; and several others.
Mr. Abdelrazek was welcomed at the Archives of Yugoslavia by Dr. Milan Terzić, Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia, and Mrs. Snežana Paunović, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
After touring the exhibition Belgrade – Cairo: 115 Years of Diplomatic Relations, which was specially set up for this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Abdelwahab Abdelrazek held a conversation with Dr. Terzić, during which they emphasized the successful cooperation between the Archives of Yugoslavia and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This collaboration will culminate in the publication of a collection of documents on Serbian/Yugoslav-Egyptian relations for the period from 1908 to 1990. The discussion with Director Terzić was also attended by Dragan Teodošić, Head of the Department for Publishing Archival Material and Inter-Archive Cooperation.
