Visit of History Students from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade to the Archives of Yugoslavia

On November 25, 2024, first-year History students from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, led by Professor Dr. Čedomir Antić, visited the Archives of Yugoslavia. The students and their professor were welcomed by Dragan Teodosić and Marko Radovanović, heads of the Department for Publishing Archival Material and Inter-archival Cooperation, and the Department for Protection and Use of Archival Material. They introduced the group to the history of the Archives, its archival collections, the reading room conditions, the history of the building, its publishing and exhibition activities, as well as the Archives' work in domestic and international cooperation.

After the introductory lecture, the students toured the Archives and learned about the work of the Department for Archival Material Arrangement, the photograph collection, the digitization process, the archival storage facilities, the conservation and restoration laboratory, the reading room, and the library. They also visited the joint exhibition of the Archives of Yugoslavia and the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, titled "Memorials of World War I in the Funds and Collections of the Archives of Yugoslavia."

Following the visit to the Archives of Yugoslavia, the students, along with their professor, completed practical exercises in the courses Archival Science and Introduction to Historical Studies.
