Association of Archivists of Serbia held third in sequence of archive workshops on "Evidence of Archival Material- Revision and New Solutions" in the Archives of Čačak on September 13, 2017. Upon presentation of papers, the discussion was opend and conclusions were brought and after the completion of the working part, participants were taken to panoramic sightseeing of Ovčar-Kablar Gorge by a boat and a visit to the Monastery Nikolje.
Great number of archivists from Serbia as well as quest from the Cantonal Archives of Tuzla director Omer Zulić with his associates attended the workshop.
Six participants presented their papers: Jasmina Živković (Historic Archives of Pozarevac), Draga Milovanović (Historic Archives of Kraljevo), Svetlana Perović Ivović (Archives of Yugoslavia), Tatjana Segedinčev (Historic Archives of Subotica), Slobodanka Cvetković (Historic Archives of Pozarevac) and Zoran Veljanović (Museum of Vojvodina, Novi Sad).
Svetlana Perović Ivović, Conservator Adviser in the Archives of Yugoslavia, in her paper "Significance of Application of Electronic Documentation Preserved and Restored" pointed out the example of good practice using data base "Conservation" that has been used in the Archives of Yugoslavia since 2009.

The Historical Archives of Subotica organized international conference of archivists "The Tenth Archival Day in Subotica" with the topic "Archives Between Culture, Science and Administration" in the Town-hall in Subotica on September 21 and 22, 2017.
Archivists from Serbia, Hungary and Croatia were present at the conference. Tijana Rupčić and Srdjan Sivčev (The Historical Archives of Kikinda) presented their paper, Dr. Kenyeres István (The Archives of the City of Budapest, President of the Hungarian Association of Archivists), Dr. Radó Bálint (The Hungarian International Archives/ the Archives of Baranja County) M. Sc. Ivan Medvedi, mag.educ.hist.Joakim Čičić (The State Archives of Slavonski Brod), Farkas Andrea (The Hungarian National Archives, Budapest), Vanda Vojvodić Micova (The Historical Archives of Zrenjanin). D.Sc. Vlatka Lemić (Croatian State Archives) presented as well their papers.
The representatives of the Archives of Yugoslavia participated with their papers "Cultural – Scientific Activity of the Archives of Yugoslavia 2006-2017" that was the subject of the mutual paper of the archivists Jelena Kovačević and Marko Radovanović and Dragan Teodosić is the author of the paper "Publication of the Archival Material of the Archives of Yugoslavia from the Cultural-Scientific Point of View 2006 -2017".

Theme: "Special Collections in the Context of Cultural Heritage Protection and Cultural Development Fostering"
International Conference "Special Collections in the Context of Cultural Heritage Protection and Cultural Development Fostering" was held at the National Library of Serbia from 2 – 4 October, 2017. Besides mentioned sessions, panel discussion on WEB filing was as well held at the conference. Jelena Vasić Derimanović from the Museum of the City of Belgrade and Svetlana Perović Ivović from the Archives of Yugoslavia presented mutual paper Challenges of Protection Preservation and Presentation of the Banknotes from the Legacy of Djordje Novaković.
The Conference was organized on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Foundation of the Department of Special Fonds of the National Library in order to improve development and promotion of the special collections. 195 experts, representatives from the libraries, museums, archives and universities from 22 countries participated at the conference. Laslo Blašković Director of the National Library of Serbia greeted participants at the opening ceremony of the Conference, while the Head of the department of Special Fonds Masa Miloradović presented historic al review of foundation of the special fonds.
In the course of three days parallel sessions were held in the amphitheater of the National Library of Serbia and in the conference hall of the hotel Kristal. Invited lecturers: Anne Gilliand, Kristian Jensen, Howard Besser and Vlatka Lemić presented their papers, the first day of the Conference.

Name: "27th International Archival Day"
27th International Archival Day was held in Trieste on October 16-17, 2017, organized by the International Institute for Archival Science of Trieste (IIAS). Dr. Branka Doknić and Svetlana Perović Ivović from the Archives of Yugoslavia presented their papers together with tenths of participants from all over the world. Dr. Branka Doknić talked about challenges of the archival profession in 21st century (How Ready are Archives for the Achievements of 21st Century) and Svetlana Perović Ivović about education in preservation of cultural heritage (Requests of the Modern Archives in Serbia and Training of Experts in the Field of Presentation of Cultural Heritage).
All papers from the Conference were published in the collected papers Atlanti for 2017.

Name: "1917 in the History and Destiny of the Russian Diaspora"
International Conference on Science and Education "1917 in the History and Destiny of the Russian Diaspora" in Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad in Moscow from October 26-29, 2017. Scientists, historians, researchers, archivists and descendants of the first Russian emigrants from 19 countries presented 65 papers. Besides Director of Solzhenitsyn House V. Moskvin, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation G.B. Karasin, political worker V.P.Lukin responsible for moderate approaching of the Russian parent country and the Russian diaspora, President of the world congress of compatriots Mikhail Drozdov. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Switzerland to the Russian Federation Ives Rossier and Director of the Historical Archives of Belgrade Dragan Gačić, addressed the present at the opening ceremony of the Conference. On that occasion the Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Historical Archives of Belgrade and Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad. Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation Slavenko Terzić honored opening of the Conference with his presence and representative of the first Russian emigration D.M Shakhovsky, professor of St. Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris gave the closing speech. The Conference was held in sections and the round tables. In operating part of the Conference four representatives from Serbia Slobodan Mandić from the Historical Archives of Belgrade, Irina Atanasijević, Professor at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, Milana Živanović from the Department of History from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade and Ranka Radjenović, Archives Advisor in the Archives of Yugoslavia with her paper "Nicholas Roerich – Serbian traces: according to the documents from the Archives of Yugoslavia" took part within the section "genealogy of recollection: family history, museums, archives, cemeteries of the Russian diaspora" . During three days of the Conference, papers gave an insight into the revolution 1917 through the eyes of its victims who were forced to leave and live for many years in other countries without citizenship, dreaming to return home as well as into intellectual contribution of Russian emigration in the development of civilization processes. It was planned to publish Collected papers from the Conference by the end of the year.
